🎯 Focus for Today¶
Some maintenance and added a domain registration feature to the octodns-metaname module. The module provides an API client as well as a provider for OctoDNS. We added the domain registration to the client part of the module.
✅ What Got Done¶
- Release v0.2.0 of octodns-metaname
- Set up Trusted Publishing workflow for octodns-metaname
🧠 Notes & Reflections¶
Worked with DeepSeek mainly and got some reviews from Claude on the module.
We just wanted to return to the module to do some maintenance. In the past we had a standalone registration script we used, which we integrated into the module. This took a bit more effort than we wanted to spend, but it's good that it's done now. We spent some extra time on integration tests. We thought this would take an afternoon and it ended up taking a full eight hours or so.
We are tracking our time on GitLab issues in the "opsdev.nz" repo.
