🎯 Focus for Today

  • Site revision: public-facing language cleanup, SFD proposal updates
  • Switch contact email to john@opsdev.nz across the site

✅ What Got Done

  • Site updates based on feedback from Claude
  • Switched the contact email from john@startmeup.nz to john@opsdev.nz across the site (homepage, event proposals, code of conduct)
  • Added a pre-commit hook (uv lock --check) to catch stale lockfiles

Lighter day of OpsDev.nz work — John was on contract applications

The email switch reflects where we're heading: doing work as OpsDev.nz going forward, with StartMeUp.nz in a fiscal-host/director role rather than as the public contact for the engineering work. The collective structure is designed so John can step in or out of either the DevOps or Director role. Right now he fills both; in the future, other humans could fill either role, or both. The structure needs to work whether John is doing the engineering, the directing, or neither.

StartMeUp.nz has delegated the RAMP reconciliation work to OpsDev.nz. Move manual bank reconciliation process toward real-time automation. Planning kicks off in July.
