🎯 Focus for Today

Working on OpenCollective integration and reconciliation, just early days really developing and learning the platform.

We've already blundered a bit trying to setup expense transactions and allocate funds to a project, our project which is Software Freedom Day. This is real world stuff, and we are learning as we go. Trying to get our heads around the OpenCollective API and how to use it to automate some of the work.

The issue happend when trying to allocate funds to a project from the web up, the funding source field created what we call a "phantom" vendor rather than selecting the fiscal host as the source of the funds. This is something we found we could do using the API previously, but were in a hurry that day and tried to replicate the same thing from the web interface.

✅ What Got Done

Disovered a bug in our oc-opsdevnz module where it was not resolving between the staging and production environments correctly, fixed in the 0.2.6 release.

🧠 Notes & Reflections

Accounting is hard and we are fast running out of resources, looking for a place where we can park things until more human help arrives.
